Building Impactful Relationships with Children
This workshop fosters an understanding of empathetic relationships with children through free play. Participants will explore ways to use their existing classroom resources to enhance their bonds with the children in their care.
Responsive Teamwork Approach
This workshop provides opportunities for professionals to practice strategies that enhance team interactions. Topics include: individual strengths, communication, building trust, and conflict resolution. This workshop will support staff in recognizing their own strengths/needs so as a team they will be empowered to achieve success.
Inspiring Creative Children
This workshop supports positive behaviors and engaging curriculum through open-ended activities. With the goal of expanding on children’s interests, participants will explore the difference between free play and teacher directed activities.
Supporting Teachers Through Transitions
This workshop is for programs that have experienced staff or administration changes, have moved locations, or have added/reduced their classrooms. Participants will discuss individual and group reactions to the transition, ways to stay connected as a team, and the stages of what to expect during a transition.
Using Photo Journals to Tell a Child’s Story
This workshop guides participants through the photo journal process while they practice developing connections between the child’s progress and developmental domains. Participants then explore how to use this information in conversations with families and peers.
FLIP IT
FLIP IT is a 6 hour workshop that teaches how to use feelings, limits, inquiries, and prompts to support children’s challenging behaviors. Participants discuss the root of behaviors and the factors that impact children’s coping and regulation skills. This workshop emphasizes how empathy, relationships, and problem solving not only decrease challenging behaviors, but support children’s social-emotional development for life. Participants receive 6 hours towards social/emotional professional development requirements. The workshop can be on a single day or split across two days.
